Dental Treatment in Turkey for UK Patients

Every year thousands of people travel from the UK to Turkey for dental work. Here is a practical, honest look at how it works from a British patient’s point of view: flights, the process, the savings, and the questions to ask before you book.

Why UK patients come to Bodrum

Long NHS waiting lists and high private fees push many people to look abroad. Turkey combines experienced clinics with prices that are typically a fraction of UK private treatment, and Bodrum adds a genuine holiday to the trip. We don’t quote fixed prices online because every mouth is different, send photos on WhatsApp and we’ll give you a personal quote.

Getting here: flights from the UK

Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV) has seasonal direct flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham and other UK airports, typically around four hours. The clinic is about 40 minutes from the airport in Konacık, and we arrange free VIP airport and hotel transfer.

How the process works

  • Send photos on WhatsApp for a free assessment and written plan.
  • We confirm the number of days and what’s included before you book flights.
  • Most cases take two visits over about 5–7 days; implants usually need two trips with healing in between.
  • You recover by the Aegean, not in a hotel corridor.

NHS, private and going abroad

NHS cosmetic dentistry is limited, and UK private veneers, crowns and implants are expensive. Travelling abroad can make a full smile plan affordable, but choose on quality, not just price: check independent reviews, know your dentist’s name, and get everything in writing. Our honest take is in Is dental tourism safe? and Turkey vs the UK costs.

Practical tips for UK patients

  • Bring your dental history if you have it; photos of old X-rays help.
  • Travel insurance that covers your trip is sensible, the GHIC/EHIC does not cover private dental treatment.
  • Allow a little buffer either side of appointments, and book flights only once your written schedule is confirmed.
